HOTLINE BLING

My final quarter at FIDM has been nothing short of insane. Lots of homework, self evaluation, and future planning that is giving me high levels of anxiety. However, I think I've got my shit more together than I give myself credit for. I need to keep reminding myself that just because it's not the same path as my peers doesn't necessarily mean it's the wrong way of going about things.

This look reminds me a lot of the fashion I see on one of my favorite Instagrams, @tokyofashion. They post pictures everyday of the best and craziest outfits from around Tokyo and I love it, I draw so much inspiration from each look. I felt extra cozy in my new Petals and Peacocks sweatshirt! Perfect shade of pink for my wardrobe, and if you're not obsessed with Hotline Bling, you're lying. I'm also dying over these fuzzy JC platforms, they are sooo comfy and cute, and totally different from anything else I have in my shoe closet. Thanks to P&P for this amazing jumper!! I'm going to link below not only to this sweatshirt, but also a few of my other favorites from their site.

MOSCHINO & CHILL

Simple everyday look to show off my precious new bb backpack. I'm not usually into yellow but when I saw this bag (FOR 60% OFF!? BLESSED.), I knew we were meant to be together. I seriously can't get enough of Moschino, but you've probably heard that from every other fashion blogger at this point. Jeremy Scott really knows what he's doing, righteously being called "The People's Designer". I haven't seen his documentary yet, but when I do get the chance maybe I'll talk about it here. The film's producer is the same one who did Valentino's film "Valentino: The Last Emperor" which is absolutely INCREDIBLE. One of my favorite fashion docs, besides Advanced Style. It's so gorgeous, so so so aesthetically pleasing... Please go watch it if you haven't. That film is what really secured Valentino as my favorite designer.

Anyway, the LA Moschino Store is amazing and I could spend hours in there just looking at the clothes. If you're ever in the area, go check it out!!! They just put the most recent line in there as well, so I plan to head back soon to get a good look in person. Okay gonna go cuddle up with my lil' Moschino honey pot byeee!

Glitter weed HEY BUD Glitter weed

Thank you Ultraviolet Child for the shades I can't live without! Green isn't my typical color but this jade green with gold detailing is perfect, and I think they'll be perfect for fall in LA. Check out @ultravioletchild on Instagram and check out their site for suuuuper cute and trendy clothes & accessories. I can't wait to show you guys the other kick ass stuff they sent my way!
Also shout out to Crazy Shirts for this awesome top. Coolest thing about their company is that they dye their products with tons of different and environmentally friendly stuff like hemp, volcanic ash, kona coffee, beer, wine, the list goes on. My dad owns one that was dyed with money that says "Bank of Dad" on the back, which is absolutely hilarious

AMANDA STEELE X JABARI JACOBS X LILBAMBI

Hey babes! I'm so excited to start posting up pictures from shoots that I've styled! If you want to collaborate, feel free to hit me up on my social media which you can find on the right side of my blog, or shoot me an email- prater.kristenn@gmail.com :)

For this shoot, I had the pleasure of styling Youtuber Amanda Steele. You can check out her Youtube and Instagram @amandasteele. She was so sweet and looked amazing in everything I put her in. This was the second shoot I've styled for Jabari Jacobs. I love the way all of his shoots come out and I've been a fan of his for years, so I'm happy that I get to say I've worked with him now. Outfit details for each look will be below! xo

Total barbie babe- sweet, girly, sassy, and simple with this look. I adore this sweater because of the beautiful powder blue and the Barbie inspired font! I had to make it the focal point of the outfit. Paired with a classic tennis and the perfect pair of platforms.

SHOES- YRU

TOP- FEVRIE
SHOES- UNIF
NECKLACE- BETTY BONES

DRESS & STOCKINGS- AMERICAN APPAREL
SHOES- YRU

This look is all about textures. An over-the-top fringe jacket, leather pants, and velvet shoes seem like it would all be overwhelming in one look, but because it's all black, the outfit looks sleek and refined. Why does this look remind me of The Fifth Element? I can't put my finger on it but I'm definitely okay with it.

PANTS- MISSGUIDED
CHOKER- TUNNEL VISION

Probably my favorite look just because this is my everyday aesthetic. I'm clearly all about baby pink right now, I honestly can't get enough. Look at those shoes- LOOK. AT. THEM. They're killer, and they really pull the look together.

TOP- UNIF
BAG- LAMODA

I had to include these dope edits that Jabari does by collaborating with artist KaCeyKal! PLEASE do yourself a favor and check out both of these amazing creative minds on Instagram @jabarijacobs and @kaceykal. What was your favorite look?? Let me know below! xo
