For this shoot, I had the pleasure of styling Youtuber Amanda Steele. You can check out her Youtube and Instagram @amandasteele. She was so sweet and looked amazing in everything I put her in. This was the second shoot I've styled for Jabari Jacobs. I love the way all of his shoots come out and I've been a fan of his for years, so I'm happy that I get to say I've worked with him now. Total barbie babe- sweet, girly, sassy, and simple with this look. I adore this sweater because of the beautiful powder blue and the Barbie inspired font! I had to make it the focal point of the outfit. Paired with a classic tennis and the perfect pair of platforms.

This look is all about textures. An over-the-top fringe jacket, leather pants, and velvet shoes seem like it would all be overwhelming in one look, but because it's all black, the outfit looks sleek and refined. Why does this look remind me of The Fifth Element? I can't put my finger on it but I'm definitely okay with it.

Probably my favorite look just because this is my everyday aesthetic. I'm clearly all about baby pink right now, I honestly can't get enough. Look at those shoes- LOOK. AT. THEM. They're killer, and they really pull the look together.

COTTON CANDY

Turning to the complete opposite of the last look on my blog, I am living in color in this outfit! This fanny pack from Imagination by JayWill matches my dress PERFECTLY, it's like they were made to be worn together. Its gold chain, fuzzy rainbow outside, and blue suede tassel come together to make the cutest fanny pack ever. I love the wide variation that JW makes, I could probably get one to match every outfit in my closet. We're nearing the end of summer, even though it surely doesn't feel like it here in SoCal, so I'm wearing my pastels and bright colors while I can, though I'm sure they'll find their way into my fall & winter wardrobe as well somehow. 

This look is great for any casual outing- lunch, shopping, or even back to school. Instead of lugging a big purse around, hide your necessities (phone, wallet, pen, lipstick) in this stylish alternative.

Speaking of school, I didn't take the summer off and I'm nearing finals, which means just over three more months and I'll be graduating from FIDM. I can't tell if I want to cry out of joy or absolute fear because I'm this much closer to "the real world". I'm still not 100% sure what I want to do, there's a lot of things I love about fashion. My ultimate goal is to continue styling, but I also love writing, and I'm interested in fashion journalism. What about you guys? Did you take the summer off, travel somewhere, do something amazing? MONOCHROME

Kept this look simple with a cool mesh top, AA midi skirt, and my new favorite sandals, all to keep the focus on my amazing new fanny pack from Imagination by JayWill. It's lightweight, handmade, and a cool, modern take on 90's staple. I love that fanny packs are coming back, and Imagination by JW is doing it right. Fanny packs are great for music festivals, or other events where you can't be bothered to carry a purse. Speaking of, props to any one who braved this LA heat for FYF Fest last weekend, I think I would have melted; However, the line up seemed worth it- Kanye West, Flume, Toro Y Moi, FKA Twigs, PURITY RING?! Yeah...definitely worth it.

Hey babes! Sorry long time no see :( The past month or so has been hectic to say the least! I've been busy with finding a new apartment, being in a music video, and taking my two weeks off back home in Chicago. Being home for the 4th of July was amazing. I had a fantastic time seeing my family (especially my dog, Muffin), friends, and my boyfriend. We spent the 4th in Wisconsin, spending time on the lake, eating good homemade cooking, and watching the fireworks from the docks. Living in LA 2,000+ miles away from my family has made me appreciate my time at home so much more. I'm excited to go back in mid-August for my cousin's wedding, as well as my boyfriend's sister's wedding! On the same day, what are the odds?! It's gonna be a blast. 

Anyway, on to the outfit! 

This perfect two piece set was sent to me by the lovely Vanessa at Tooth & Eye! If you keep up with me on Instagram, you know that baby pink is my current go-to color. I actually dyed my hair a crazy mix of pink, purple, and grey, but I think it's faded perfectly for this shoot. This set is super comfy and can be styled a ton of ways. I love the idea of this top with light wash high waisted jeans, or the skirt with a white polo crop tee. This AMAZING jacket is from Missguided. I can't get enough of holographic clothing/accessories/literally anything and I can't be stopped. I'm also very in love with this playboy bunny necklace from Betty Bones. Links to everything below!
